1996-2001 SIX-YF~ TI~SPORTATION II4PRO~B}[ENT PROGI~
WHEREAS, THE CITY OF B~TON has reviewed the work
accomplished under its Comprehensive Arterial Street Construction
Program and determined current city Street needs, and
WHEREAS, the City Council caused to beprepared a revised and
extended Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for the period
January 1, 1996 to December 31, 2001, and after public hearing
thereon approved the same at such hearing September 27, 1995
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the revised and extended Six-Year
Transportation Improvement Program 1996 to 2001 attached hereto as
Exhibit A and Schedule is hereby adopted as the revised and
extended Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for the period
January 1, 1996 to December 31, 2001.

SUMMARY
CHANGES TO THE PLAN INCLUDE:
ALL LOCAL PROJECTS (SAFETY, NON-MOTORIZED, TDM, EMERGENCY
AND LOCAL SUPPORT) ARE INCLUDED IN "MAINTENANCE PROJECTS".
LOCAL STREET OVERLAY PROJECTS HAVE BEEN PRIORITIZED USING
THE CITY PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

KITSAP WAY RECONSTRUCTION, WESLON PLACE TO AUTO CENTER WAY
DELAYED FROM 1995 TO 1996 DUE TO COORDINATING WITH STATE
CONCERNING SR3 SOUTHBOUND OFFRAMP AND ENGINEERING STAFF
SUPPORT OF UTILITY PROJECTS.
llTH STREET RECONSTRUCTION, CHESTER AVENUE TO WARREN AVENUE
DELAYED FROM 1995 TO 1996 DUE TO STATE TIB FUNDS BEING
UNAVAILABLE.

MAJOR INVESTMENT STUDY FOR THE SR 303 CORRIDOR BETWEEN WARREN
AVENUE BRIDGE AND BROWNSVILLE HIGHWAY.
