A resolution by the City Council establishing year 2000 Legislative Intent.
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the budget amendments for the year
2000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes the following steps must be taken to execute
the budget, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL THAT
1. The City Council will establish priorities and provide policy guidance to the
Mayor and staff for the year 2000 budget implementation by January 31,
2000.
2. The Mayor will provide recommendations on Animal Control functions by
January 31, 2000.
3. The Mayor will propose for the Council's considerations additional service
reductions, budget cuts, and increased efficiencies by March 31, 2000.
4. The Council will establish priorities and provide policy guidance to the Mayor
for the next Biennial budget, year 2001-2002, by June 30, 2000.
