A RESOLUTION reviewing charges for the abatement of garbage and debris
on the property at 2529 Veldee Avenue and determining means of collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for removal of garbage and debris on the property
located at 2529 Veldee Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as adopted by the
Bremenon Municipal Code, allows the City to recoup these costs either by personal judgment against the
property owner or as a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are just, and how they
should be collected; and has considered the report of charges filed by the Building Official and any protests or
objection filed; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees be collected as a
personal judgment against the owner of the property located at 2529 Veldee Avenue, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
1. That the abatement charges included in the report of the Building Official in the amount of $797.80
tbr the property located at 2529 Veldee Avenue, Bremerton, attached hereto, are just and reasonable.
2. That the City of Bremerton will exercise its right to recapture abatement fees by pursuing a personal
judgment against the property owner.
