A RESOLUTION reviewing charges for the removal of garbage and debris
on the properties at 60 and 2230 Schley Way and determining means of
collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for the removal of garbage and debris on the
properties located at 60 and 2230 Schley Way; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Municipal Code allows the City to recoup these costs by personal judgment
against the property owner, which if not collected within 30 days shall become a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are just, and has considered
the report of charges filed by the Building Official and any protests or objection filed; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
1. That the abatement charges included in the report of the Building Official in the amount of $929.30
for the properties located at 60 and 2230 Schley Way, Bremerton, attached hereto, are just and reasonable.
2. That the City of Bremerton will exercise its right to recapture abatement fees by pursuing a personal
judgment against the property owner, Timothy Duffey, which if not collected within 30 days shall become a lien
against the properties.
