A Resolution declaring a mid-block closure of Campbell Way.
WHEREAS, during development of the Harrison Hospital Neighborhood Plan, the
community expressed desire to stop traffic from using Campbell Way to bypass the intersection
of Lebo Boulevard and Wheaton Way; and,
WHEREAS, City staff worked with property owners and residents to determine that a
mid-block closure of Campbell Way was an appropriate measure to address the bypass traffic
issue; and,
WHEREAS, a temporary mid-block closure was installed and found to be effective and
received support of the community; and,
WHEREAS, the City Traffic Safety Committee endorsed the mid-block closure of
Campbell Way at its meeting of May 14, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, WAC 308-330-265(1) authorizes the City Engineer to place traffic control
devices as required under resolution of the City Council; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL THAT
1. Campbell Way be closed mid-block between Lebo Boulevard and Wheaton Way.
