1998-2003 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, THE CITY OF BREMERTON, has reviewed the work accomplished under
its Comprehensive Arterial Street Construction Program and detennined current City Street
Needs, and
WHEREAS, the City Council caused to be prepared a revised and extended Six-Year
Transportation Improvement Plan for the period January 1, 1998 to December 31, 2003, and after
public hearing thereon approved the same at such hearing September 10, 1997 now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the revised and extended Six-Year Transportation
Improvement Plan 1998-2003 attached hereto as Exhibit A and Schedule is hereby adopted as the
revised and extended Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan for the period January 1, 1998
to December 31, 2003
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this 10th day of September, 1997.

1998-2003 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
SUMMARY
CHANGES TO THE PLAN INCLUDE:
ffTH SL Reconstruction- This project has been completed and has been
deleted from the six year plan.
Sylvan Way Street Improvements - This project has been completed and
has been deleted from the six year plan.
Kitsap Way Street Improvements- This project was bid in July. The bid
came in too high and is being rejected. The project is to be readvertised for
construction in 1998.
Kean St., Rodgers St., Werner Rd. - These projects have all been
combined into the West Hills Commercial/Werner Corridor Roadway
Improvements. The Rodgers St. storm drainage project is included in this
project as a UATA match.
Auto Center Way Street Improvements - This project has been added to
the 6 year plan. It is a continuation of the current Kitsap Way Project to the
south bound on ramp of State Route 3, along Auto Center Way.
Sheridan Road- This project has been removed because it is included in the
City wide maintenance projects.
