A RESOLUTION reviewing charges for the securing the building on the
property located at 1018 Burwell and determining means of collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for securing the building located at 1018 S Burwell
Street, and
WHEREAS, the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as adopted by the Bremerton
Municipal Code, allows the City to recoup these costs either by personal judgment against the property. owner or
as a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged wqth determining whether the fees are just, and how they should
be collected; and has considered the report of charges filed by the Building Official and any protests or objection
filed; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees be collected as a lien
against the property located at 1018 Burwell, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
1. That the abatement charges included in the report of the Building Official in the amount of S 1258.86
t]~r the propen-y located at 10 l 8 Burwell, Bremerton, attached hereto, are just and reasonable.
2. That the City of Bremerton wqll exercise its right to recapture abatement fees by filing a lien aga. inst
the property.
