BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL
A RESOLUTION Naming Field number 1 at Lions Park to "Al Colvin Field"
WHEREAS, AI Colvin is completing his third term as the representative to the
Bremerton City Council for District 1 serving his constituents faithfully; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Colvin has made a sincere commitment to making Bremerton a better
place to live and raise a family; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Colvin is a past President of the Bremerton Central Lions Club with
active participation over a period of eleven years; and since the Bremenon Central Lions
Club plays a major role in supporting community needs, and provides ongoing financial
support for needs at Lions Park; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Colvin has been a strong advocate and supporter of parks; and
WHEREAS, on 24 June 1997 the Bremerton Parks & Recreation Commission voted
tmanimously to recommend to the Bremerton City Council naming Field 1 at Lions Park
"Al Colvin Field" in recognition of his service to parks and the City in general;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by City Council of the City of Bremerton,
That Field 1 at Lions Park shall be named "Al Colvin Field".
