A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF APPLICA-
TIONS WITH THE U.S. OEPARTMENT OF ENERGY APPRO-
PRIATE TECHNOLOGY SMALL GRANTS PROGRAM FOR
GRANTS UNDER THE 1981 PROGRAM SOLICITATION.
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Energy is authorized to make grants for
energy-related appropriate technology programs; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton is legally empowered to enter into grant
agreements pursuant to RCW; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriate technology small grant could help enhance various energy
conservation efforts throughout the community and thereby enhance the
general public health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
BREMERTON:
1. That the Mayor of Bremerton, Glenn K. Jarstad, is authorized to execute
and file on behalf of the City of Bremerton with the U.S. Department of
Energy applications for grants under the 1981 Appropriate Technology Small
Grants Program.
2. That the Mayor, Glenn K. Jarstad, or authorized representative is author-
ized to execute and file with such application any assurances or other docu-
ments which may be required by the U.S. Department of Energy effectuating the
purposes of the Appropriate Technology Small Grants Program.
