A RESOLUTION of the City of Bremerton
rescinding Resolution No. 1708, setting
forth new rules, regulations and rates
for the operation of Ivy Green Cemetery.
BE IT REOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BREMERTON:
That Resolution No. 1708 be rescinded and that rules,
regulations and rates for the operation of Ivy Green Cemetery be
adopted aud approved by this resolution as follows:
IVY GREEN CEMETERY
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. No burial shall be permitted without a permit from
the City Health Officer.
2. The charges for burial plots shall be as follows:
Adult: Non-resident of City at $ 220.00
time of death
Resident of City at 202.00
time of death
Infant: Resident or non-resident 70.00
at time of death
3. No disinterment shall be made without authorization
by the City Health Officer and the lot owner or by court order.
The charge for disinterment shall be $100.00.
4. The charge for inurnment shall be $ 50.00. The charge
for disurnment shall be $ 60.00.
5. Only one interment shall be made per grave.
(Except Urns).
6. Soliciting for monumental or other kind of work will
not be permitted inside the cemetery.
7. Burials on Sundays and holidays, or after 5:00 P.M.
on weekdays, will not be permitted except as directed by the City
Health Officer in emergencies.

8. To secure a proper harmony of development, the
planting or removal of trees, shrubbery and flowers shall be con-
trolled by the Sexton.
9. The construction of foundation for monuments, or
markers, and the setting of all markers, shall be done by the
employees of the cemetery and a reasonable charge made therefor.
The cement bases of all grave markers shall be flush with the
ground and be so installed that grass may be cut by a power mower.
No work of any kind shall be done in the permanent care section
without the authority of the Sexton, and no extension s!mall be
placed on any marker or headstone in the permanent care section.
Marker installation fees shall be assessed as fol-
lows for installation of markers not purchased through Ivy Green
Ceme tary:

4" x 12" x 2" or 3" 36.00
8" x 16" x 2" or 3" 52.00
10" x 20" x 2" or 3" 60.00
12" x 24" x 2" or 3" 68.00
12" x 24" (Bronze) 60.00
12" x 36" x 2" or 3" 84.00
14" x 36" x 2" or 3" 92.00
10. Opening and closing of all graves and all labor
in connection with interments shall be performed by cemetery
employees at the following charges:
Open and close grave (adult) $ 145.00
Open and close grave (infant) 70.00
Open and close interment of urn 40.00
11. The charge to raise a grave shall be $40.00
12. Cement liners shall be required in all graves and
may be furnished by the City of Bremerton at a cost of $ 170.00
for an adult cement liner and at a cost of $ 54.00 for an infant

cement liner. No wooden boxes shall be allowed, except to the
United States government as provided in Resolution No. 564.
13. Organizations and Fraternal Orders providing
sections or care thereof for members only shall make special
arrangements therefor with the City Council
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Council, signed by the
Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication thereof
