A RESOLUTION endorsing and supporting the
concept of a Bremerton Area Chamber o{
Commerce Downtown Bremerton DeveloDment
Task Force, and urging the immediate
formation of such task force.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton has continually endoresed and
encouraged the development and revitalization of the Bremerton Central
Business District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton recognizes that broad community
support will. be vital to the success of the development and revitaliza-
tion of the downtown Bremerton Area including the waterfront, the
retail core and 'tile nearby residential areas; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Area Chamber of Commerce, on October 27,
1981, brought forth to the Bremerton Citv Council a proposal. to establish
a Bremerton Area Chamber of Cormnerce Downtown Bremerton Development
Task Force;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the City of Bremerton endorses the concept and need
for a Downtown 8remerton Development Task Force; and
2. That the City of Bremerton urges the Bremerton Area Chamber
of Commerce to work toward the immediate formation of such
task force; and
3. That the City of Bremerton lends lfs support and cooperation
to the Bremerton Development Task Force.
That the effective date off this Council Resolution is
November 10, 19 8 1.
