A RESOLUTION requesting the call of a special Municipal
Election to be held on May 18, 1982, for the submittal
to the Electors of the City of Bremerton, a proposition
to create a Board of fifteen (15) Freeholders, to alter,
revise, add to or to repeal the existing charter of the
City of Bremerton.
WHEREAS, RCW 35.22.G50 provides for the election of Fifteen (15) Free--
holders to frame a City Charter; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.22.140 requires the submission to the Electors of the
proposition of whether or not a Board of Freeholders should be created; and
WHEREAS, RCW 29.13.020 provides that a Municipal Election shall be held
on specified dates; and
WHEREAS, RCW 29.13.020 provides that the County Auditor may calI a special
election upon receiving at least forty-five (45) days prior to the supposed
election date, a request in the form of a resolution of the governing body
of the City:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commissioners of the City of
Bremerton, Bremerton, Washington:
1. That the City of Bremerten City Clerk as is ex officio Supervisor of
Elections of the City of Bremerton is hereby requested to call a special
Municipal Election to be held May 18, 1982, to be held for the purpose of
submitting to the electors of the City of Bremerton a proposal to create a
Board of Freeholders in the following form:
Proposition No. l:
1. That a Board of Freeholders be elected to alter, revise, add to,
or to repeal the existing charter of the Cjty of Bremerton,
For the creation of a Board of Freeholders
Against the creation of a Board of Freeholders
Proposition No. 2.
2. Election of Freeholders
(Whether you have voted "for" or "against" the creation of
a Board of Freeholders),
Vote for fifteen (15) of the following

City Ordinance passed this day under RCW 35.22.050.
