A RESOLUTION requiring a Council hearing
whenever the Liquor Control Board suspends
or cancels a liquor license in the City of
Bremerton.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton desires to more effective-
ly exercise their right, under RCW 66.24.010(8) to influence the
Liquor Control Board in making their decision whether to grant or
renew a liquor license, and
WHEREAS, the Liquor Control Board provides notice to the
City of any suspension or cancellation of a liquor license,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that:
SECTION 1 - Council Hearing
The city, upon receiving notice that a liquor license has
been cancelled or suspended by the Liquor Control Board shall
hold a council hearing to investigate the reasons for such can-
cellation or suspension for the purpose of aiding the City in
determining whether to recommend to the State Liquor Control
Board under RCW 66.24.010(8) that the license not be granted or
renewed.
SECTION 2 - Conduct of the Hearing
The Council shall request that the former licensee and all
persons having information regarding the reasons for the cancella-
tion or suspension appear and give testimony before the Council.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentica-
tion of such adoption this 17 day of August, 1982.
