A RESOLUTION regarding the new sewer treatment
facility and establishment of sewer service
rates.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bremerton has
increased sewer rates by way of Ordinance No. 3824, which are
being effectuated for the purpose of constructing a new sewer
treatment facility; and
WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Washington require
that utility rates be reasonable in relation to the actual
construction and operation costs of utility facilities; and
WHEREAS, construction of this new sewer treatment
facility should begin in the summer months of 1983;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Bremerton that the rates established for
sewer service pursuant to Ordinance No. 3824 are being
established to finance operation and maintenance and major
capital improvements of wastewater facilities, and should such
major capital improvements and increased operation and
maintenance not be implemented, sewer' utility rates will be
re-evaluated and reduced in accordance with system needs and
Washington State Laws.
PASSED this 23 day of March, 1983, by the Bremerton City
Council.
