A RESOLUTION revising the rates of Equipment Rental Fund and
superseding the rates established by Resolution 1947.
WHEREAS, the hourly labor rate established by Resolution 1947
for the Equipment Rental Department is not sufficient to meet the needs
of the Department and is unrealistic in relation to rates charged by
commercial garages in the area; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to regulate charges to conform to a
national norm; and,
WHEREAS, the rental rates established for equipment by Resolution
1947 are in need of adjustment to more accurately reflect the needs for
equipment replacement and for maintenance and operating costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the hourly shop labor rate
of Equipment Rental Department is $35.00 effective March l, 1983;
FURTHER, that charges for shop labor wi]]. be calculated on
"flat rate" basis according to Motors Flat Rates Manual;
FURTHER, that the rental rates established in Resolution 1947
are superseded by the rates set forth in the attached Schedule A,
effective, retroactively, to January 1, 1983;
FURTHER, that the monthly reserve and operation rate will apply
to Schedule A regardless of use. The hourly reserve and operation rate,
as totaled, will be used for inter-departmental billing of all equipment.
Minimum charge for equipment usage will be two hours.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 9 day of February, 1983.
