WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the sewer main serving the
700 and 800 blocks of High; and
WHEREAS, time is of essence and the bidding process will
require too much time; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to immediately protect the public
health, safety and welfare;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton that bid call requirements be waived and the
Public Works/Field Services Director be authorized to negotiate a
contract to effect repairs not to exceed $50,000.00.
