A RESOLUTION establishing reserve levels
for the Wastewater Utility.
WHEREAS it is prudent for the Bremerton Wastewater Utility
to have reserve funds to cover operating contingencies and to provide
for capital improvements when needed, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Bremerton wishes
to assure that these reserves will be maintained, now therefore,
BE IT RESOL.VED, that a reserve for operation and maintenance
should be maintained in the Wastewater Operating Fund. Said
Reserve to be accumulated incrementally to a sum of $250,000 by
December 31, 1986. These funds can only be used upon prior
approval the City Council. If any of these funds are used
their replacement must be budgeted and replaced the next budget
year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that commencing in 1986, a minimum
$400,000 per year shall be transferted from thc Wastewater
Operating Fund to C. R. Sewer (Fund 404). Said funds to be
used for purposes set forth in ordinance 3157 as amended.
PASSED by the City Council of Bremerton this
30th day of January, 1985.
