A RESOLUTION proposing support of the
Bremerton Main Street Program
WHEREAS, The Bremerton Main Street Association is an associa-
tion dedicated to the improvement of the economic and cultural climate
of the downtown; and,
WHEREAS, the Association is striving constantly to prc~ote the
advantages of the entire downtown; and,
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Main Street Association is dedicated to
the revitalization of the downtown; and,
WHEREAS, over eighty lnerchants, property owners, and private
individuals have demonstrated their support and commitment to downtown
Bremerton through their membership and financial investment in the Main
Street Association; and,
WHEREAS, the actions of the Association contribute to the visual
color and vitality of the downtown through the initial incremental and
future large scale projects; and,
WHEREAS, Council has demonstrated it's support of the Bremerton
Main Street Association and commitment to the central business district in
authorization of funds in April of 1985;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City
of Bremerton, hereby applauds and commends Bremerton Main Street Associa-
tion for it's accomplishments and supports the Main Street Association in
it's continuing efforts to achieve it's goals and objectives.

1985.
