A RESOLUTION setting forth the issue of annexation of
the City of Bremerton into the Kitsap Regional Library.
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 27.12,360 the City Council has
enacted into law Ordinance No. 3974 which states the intent
of the City of Bremerton to annex, join to and become a part of
the Kitsap Regional Library District; and
WHEREAS, prior to final passage of said ordinance the Kitsap
Library Board by Resolution No. 1985/3 has concurred in such
proposed annexation; and
WHEREAS, prior to final passage of such ordinahce the State
Librarian has also concurred in such proposed annexation; and
WHEREAS, RCW 27.12.370 provides that upon such passage of
such an ordinance the measure can be placed upon the ballot at a
general or special election, at which time the voters of the City
can vote on the proposed annexation of this City to the library
district; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON
SECTION 1: That there shall be placed upon the ballot in
the primary election for the City of Bremerton to be held on
September 17, 1985, a measure allowing the voters of the City of
Bremerton to annex to the Kitsap Regional Library and thereby
shall vote on the following proposition, as provided in RCW
27.12.370:
Shall the City of Bremerton be annexed to and become
a part of the Kitsap Regional Library District?
YES: NO:
SECTION 2: Copies of this Resolution shall be sent to the
Auditor of Kitsap County, State Librarian and the Kitsap Regional
Library Board.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this 31
day of July, 1985.
