WHEREAS, OSHA/WISHA requires annual inspection of "man- lift vehicles", and the 1986 inspection resulted in the finding that the man-lift truck 1113 is unsafe to operate and has been removed from services, and WHEREAS, the vehicle is essential and necessary to City operations and public safety, and WHEREAS formal call for bid procedures established by Ordinance 3935 will result in delay of repair and excessive cost to rent a replacement vehicle, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the formal call for bid requirement be waived and repairs authorized.
