WHEREAS, the sidewalk abutting 3214 Preble Street exists in
a hazardous condition due to interferences from tree roots
extending from the above property; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.69.020 places responsibility for sidewalk
repair upon the abutting property owner; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL
That reconstruction of the sidewalk abutting 3214 Preble
Street in Bremerton is necessary for the public safety and
convenience; 'and that the owner of said property shall be charged
~the cost of reconstruction in an amount up to fifty percent (50%)
of the valuation of the property, exclusive of improvements,
according to the last valuation placed upon it for purposes of
general taxation.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this
16th day of September, 1987.
