WHEREAS, Resolution 2135 surplused approximately 160
acres of Utility owned forest lands north of Old Clifton Road;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to
dispose of this property through negotiated exchange with the
McCormick Land Company as partial consideration for acquisition
of approximately 445 acres of McCormick Company land south of the
Twin Lakes Reservoir adjacent to the City's watershed which has
been identified for acquisition by Resolution 2135 as part of the
City's water resource management plan; and
WHEREAS, the City will be credited with the fair market
value of its property in this exchange; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF BREMERTON
That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Real Estate
Purchase, Sale and Exchange Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit
"1," which incorporates the exchange of the Bremerton Utility
property of approximately 160 acres located in Kitsap County and
described as:
That portion of the SW 1/4 lying north of Old Clifton
Road and that portion of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 lying
West of Anderson Hill Road, all in Section 4, Township
23 N, Range 1 E, W.M.
That the Mayor is further authorized to execute deeds and
other documents necessary to consummate the transaction set forth
in Exhibit "1."
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this
7th day of October, 1987.
