A RESOLUTION authorizing and establishing handling
fees for dishonored checks.
WHEREAS, in the conduct of the City's business, the
various departments of the City routinely accept checks in
payment of debts owed the City; and
WHEREAS, from time to time certain of the checks accepted
by the City are subsequently dishonored necessitating additional
costs to the City; and
.WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and proper to pass those
additional costs on to those responsible; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL:
That the handling fee for dishonored checks shall be
$15.00 (fifteen dollars and no cents) per check.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this
28th day of October, 1987
