A RESOLUTION appointing the City Treasurer as Auditing
Officer for claims presented to the City.
WHEREAS, the City is required by RCW 42.24.080 to appoint
an auditing officer whose duty shall be to audit all claims for
materials, services or labor prior to their payment and to
certify as to the correctness of such claims; and
WHEREAS, the City has not at this time formally appointed
such an auditing officer; and
WHEREAS, the required duties of the auditing officer fall
most logically under the direction of the City Treasurer; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL:
That the City Treasurer be and hereby is appointed Auditing
Officer of the City of Bremerton pursuant to the requirements of
RCW 42.24.080 and is authorized and directed to delegate the
authority and responsibility for claims auditing among the
various departments of the City.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this
28th day of October, 1987.
