A RESOLUTION adjusting current salary for the Fire
and Police Chiefs.
WHEREAS, the Council recognizes the City's economy
limits its ability to fully recognize the salary of employees at
levels paid in comparable communities, but finds that an
extraordinary salary adjustment for the Police Chief and Fire
Chief is needed to retain the two highly qualified and
experienced individuals filling these critical public safety
positions; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED 'BY THE BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL,
THAT the base salary for the Police Chief and the Fire
Chief as of January 1, 1988, shall be $46,873.25. This figure
includes cost of living increments or merit salary adjustments
applied through operation of Ordinance 4102.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 13th day of January
1988.
