WHEREAS, Bremerton Parks and Recreation had prepared and adopted
a Comprehensive Park and Recreation Plan in April, 1984; and
WHEREAS, a need exists for the city to update and revise said
Comprehensive Park and Recreation Plan in order to better access
the current and future recreational needs of the city residents and
to participate in the states grant-in-aid programs; and
WHEREAS, the proposed 1989 Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan
was prepared under the guidance of the Parks Advisory Board, Parks
and Recreation Department and various citizen groups, committees,
individuals and State agencies and organizations; and
WHEREAS, the proposed 1989 Five Year Park and Recreation
Comprehensive Plan was reviewed by the City Council and recommended
for adoption on 9/27, 1989.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Bremerton,
in regular session assembled, approves the Five Year Comprehensive
Plan for 1989 - 1994 for the Parks and Recreation Department along
with the revisions and amendments indicated in the City Council
minutes of 9/27, 1989 as set forth in copy attached hereto.
