A RESOLUTION declaring the intention of the
City of Bremerton to negotiate for certain real
property owned by the City of Bremerton for
certain real property owned by the State of
Washington, said exchange being for the purpose
of protecting the City's Watershed.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton is the owner of the
following described property:
The Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of the North
1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of
the South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 8,
Township 24 North, Range 1 West, W.M., and the West
1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of
the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 17,
Township 24 North, Range 1 West, W.M., and the North-
east 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 21, Township
24 North, Range 1 West, W.M., and the Northwest 1/4
of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 20, Township 24 North,
Range 1 West, W.M., situate in Kitsap County, Washing-
ton, being a total area of 280 acres, more or less.
and,
WHEREAS, the State of Washington is the owner of the
following described property:
The Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of the North-
east 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of the South 1/2 of
the Southeast 1/4 of Section 14, Township 24 North,
Range 1 West, W.M., and the Northeast 1/4 of the North-
east 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of
the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 23,
Township 24 North, Range 1 West, W.M., situate in Kitsap
County Washington, being a total area of 280 acres,
more or less.
and
WHEREAS, the above described State property is situated in
the drainage basin of the City's Watershed and
WHEREAS, the above described City property is situated
outside the drainage basin of the City's Watershed, and
WHEREAS, it may be for public benefit ~o acquire the entire
drainage basin of the Watershed so as to prevent future obstruction
or impairment of the City's water supply, now, therefore,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON
1. Negotiate for the exchange of the following described
property of the City of Bremerton:

The Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of the North
1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of
the South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 8,
Township 24 North, Range 1 West, W.M., and the West
1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of
the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 17,
Township 24 North, Range 1 West, W.M., and the North-
east 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 21, Township
24 North, Range 1 West, W.M., and the Northwest 1/4
of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 20, Township 24 North,
Range 1 West, W.M., situate in Kitsap County, Washing-
ton, being a total area of 280 acres, more or less.
for the following described property of the State of
Washington:

on terms subject to future acceptance by both parties.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton
this /7 'day of November, 1971, signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk in authentication of such adoption.
