WI.!EREAS, the City of Bremerton does recognize the
need for providing coordinated mechanisms to prevent the
frasmented nature of the traffic safety program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton does endorse
comprehensive.~ coordinated traffic safety managment nrogram}
NOW~ Tt-~EREFO~E, ~E I~ RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF
BRI';;MERTON:
THAT, the City of Bremerto~ shall establish a task
force to undertake a stu~ of the cfft~'s traffic safet)z program.
THefT, said task force shall ex~lore and renort to the
City Counc~]. ~.ts fin~ings on the following:
a. the managment capabilities of ex~sting
agencies with traffic safety responsibilities~
b. the identification of the city's resources,
needs and deficiencies~
c. th~ organizational approaches that would
best suit the cit~ or identify an existing
organization that could carry out a
coordinated erogram;
d. the city's legal authorit~ to establish an
organffzation to coordinate traffic safety
activities ~
e. methods of devetopin~ pub]&c support for
traffic safet~r.
ADOPTED by the City Counc~l of the City of Bremerton~
si~ned by the Ma~or and attested b~ the C~ty Clerk in
authentication of such adoption this ~
