Contract No. 67-q for a period of five years.
'~Wr~EREAS~ ~ the City of Bremerton entered into a contract
with James M. Johnson and Austin E. Griffiths ~/b/a Brem-Air Disposal
Company whose successor in interest is Don Lindgren d/b/a Brem-Air
Disposal~ said contract being for the period from the 1st day of
September, 1961, to the 31st day of August~ 1971~ and
~H-IER~'~AS, the present contractor has provided the City of
Eremerton and its citizens ,~mtn goo~ and even exceptional service~

WHE]~EAS, ~tate requirements ha~e been enacted prohibitin~j
burning of trash, rubbish and garbage thereby creating an unforeseeable
condition wherebv the y~resent contractor cannot reasonably complete
t]~e ~resent contract without substantial additional' caDi~al outlay not
contemDlated in the original contract~ and
~~w~ it is in the best interest of the City of

five years thereby allowin~ contractor to purchase the necessary
equipment for compliance with State regulations and insuring superior
collection and disDosa~ of garbage, now, therefore~
