A RESOLUTION by the City Council of the City
of Bremerton approving, pursuant to RCW 35.13.020,
petition for annexation by election of that area
commonly known as Cedar Grove and Sheridan Heights.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City of Bremerton
a petition for resolution of approval of proposed annexation by
election of that area described below and commonly known as
Cedar Grove and Sheridan Heights, and
WHEREAS, a petition has been obtained containing
signatures of not less than Twenty per cent (20%) of the quali-
fied voters resident in the area cast in the last election, and
WHEREAS, said property is contiguous to the City of
Bremerton, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bremerton has
given notice of hearing pursuant to law and held public hearing
on the proposed petition, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bremerton
has determined that the proposed annexation would be in the
best interests and in furtherance of the health, safety and
welfare of the citizens of the area in question and has deter-
mined that the qualified voters of that area should have
opportunity to vote on the proposed annexation. Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton that the City of Bremerton hereby approves the pro-
posed annexation by election of the following described property:
The South half of the Northwest quarter of the
Southwest quarter of Section 2, Township 24 North,
Range 1 East, W.M., TOGETHER WITH: The West half
of the North half of the Northwest quarter of the
Southwest quarter of Section 2, Township 24 North,
Range 1 East, W.M. All located in Kitsap County,
Washington.
ALSO:
Beginning at the NE corner of the SE quarter of the
SW quarter of Section 2, Township 24 North, Range

1 East, W.M., said point being on the present
City Limits Line; thence running South along~the
East line of said Southeast quarter of the'South-
west quarter to the SE corner of said Southeast
quarter of the Southwest quarter; thence West
along the South line of said SE quarter of the SW
quarter to the NE corner of the NW quarter of the
NW quarter of Section 11, Township 24 North,
Range 1 East, W.M.; thence running South along
the East line of said NW quarter of the Northwest
quarter of said Section 11 to a point which is
120 feet North of the SE corner of the said NW
quarter of the Northwest quarter; thence S 89°
36'00" E 206 feet; thence S 0°06'17'' E to the
centerline of Sheridan Road;thence Southwesterly
along the centerline of Sheridan Road and its
extension to the government meanderline; thence
Northwesterly along the government meanderline to
its intersection with the North line of the South-
east quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section
3. Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M.; thence
running East along the North line of said Southeast
quarter of the Southeast quarter and continuing East
along the North line of the South half of the South-
west quarter of Section 2, Township 24 North, Range
1 East, W.M. to the point of beginning. Situated
in Kitsap County, Washington.
ALSO:
That portion of Government Lot 3, Section 3, T24N, R 1E,
W.M. described as follows:
Sylvan Way - the South 30 feet of the West 600 feet
of the East 630 feet of said Govt. Lot.
Unnamed Road - the East 30 feet of the South half of
said Govt. Lot 3, as measured along the East line
thereof.
it is hereby further
RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Bremerton
shall give the petitioners notice of this resolution by publication
as required by law.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentica-
tion of such adoption this 25th day of April, 1973.
