RESOLUTION regarding transfer of the
interest of City of Bremerton to Port
of Bremerton
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton has an undivided ownership
interest in the following described real property situated within
the City, to-wit:
Tracts 1 and 2 of Vacated State Oyster Reserve,
Plat Number 87, located in front of Sections 32 and
33, Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M. Subject
to the right-of-way of U.S. Naval Stowage and
Transhipment Facility, Bremerton Branch. And,
subject to right-of-way of State Highway 21,
Kitsap County, Washington, and subject to the
rights of holders of existing leases covering
portions of the above described land, and
subject to Chapter 8 under 12 of the Sessions
Laws of 1927 and subject to other encumbrances
of record.
and
WHEREAS, the Port of Bremerton has expressed interest in
the property with an eye to developing it in such a manner
as to benefit the citizens of the City of Bremerton, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bremerton has
determined that the said real property is surplus and excess to
the foreseeable needs of the City of Bremerton.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Bremerton, in regular session assembled, that,
subject to approval by the Superior Court of the State of
Washington in and for Kitsap County, pursuant to Chapter 133,
Section 1, Laws of 1953 the transfer of the interest of the City
of Bremerton to the Port of Bremerton be, and it hereby is, approved
and ratified.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk
in authentication of such passage this 27TH day of November, 1974.
