WHEREAS,Kitsap County has been designated as a Regional Criminal
Justice Planning area; and
WHEREAS, only those jurisdictions which have authorized the regional
supervisory unit to act on their behalf in performing regional
planning, coordinating and acting on matters pertaining to the
allocation of funds provided under the Crime Control Act of
1973, shall be eligible to receive said funds; and
WHEREAS, the Kitsap Board of County Commissioners have chosen to act as
the supervisory unit with an advisory committee containing
representatives of the criminal justice system from each of the
cities within the County.
THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, that we hereby authorize the County to per-
form and to act in our behalf in performing regional planning,
coordinating and acting in all matters pertaining to the allo-
cation of funds provided under the Crime Control Act of 1973.
