WHEREAS, the 701 Program provides federal funding for Comprehensive
Planning for cities and municipalities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton has been awarded a grant of Sixty
Thousand Dollars ($60,000) under the Comprehensive Planning Assistance
Program authorized by Section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954, 40 U.S.C. 461,
as amended, in conformity with and for the project period specified in the
grant document (Grant No. CPA-WA-10-O0-OO5);
WHEREAS, the Grant is to be used for the purpose of carrying out
the HUD-assisted program objectives listed in the Grant Document, the
Annual Work Program Summary, and described in the Overall Program Design;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON that
GLENN K. JARSTAD, MAYOR, shall be, and is, the designated official
authorized to approve payment vouchers on HUD Form 259 and to execute
HUD Form 274 designating a depositary for direct deposit of funds, on
behalf of the City of Bremerton for Grant No. CPA-WA-10-00-005.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage this 26th day of November, 1975.
