RESOLUTION authorizing the filing of Application
with the Economic Development Administration,
U.S. Department of Commerce, United States of
America, for a grant under the terms of Title 1
of the Local Public Works Capital Development
and Investment Act of 1976.
WHEREAS, The Economic Development Administration, of the
U.S. Department of Commerce is authorized to make grants for public
works impact projects;
WHEREAS, The contract for financial assistance will im-
pose certain obligations upon the applicant, including specific
assurances contained in the Program Application and compliance with
specific federal statutes, regulations and orders enumerated in
the Program Guidelines.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON
1. That the Mayor of Bremerton, Glenn K. Jarstad, is
authorized to execute and file application(s) on behalf of the
City of Bremerton with the Economic Development Administration of
the U.S. Department of Commerce, to aid in the financing and con-
struction of public works, safety and recreational capital im-
provements for the City of Bremerton.
2. That the Mayor, Glenn K. Jarstad, is authorized to
execute and file with such application an assurance or anv other
document required by the Economic Development Administration of
the Department of Commerce effectuating the purposes of Title VI
of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, or for any other requirements of
the Economic Development Administration of the Department of
Commerce.
3. That Glenn K. Jarstad, Mayor of the City of Bremerton,
is authorized to furnish such additional information as the Economic
Development Administration of the Department of Commerce may require
in connection with the application or the project.
PASSED AND APPROVED on this 6TH day of October, 1976.
