A Resolution relating to funding for
public transit.
WHEREAS public transit in the City of Bremerton is
presently funded by imposition of a household tax of eighty
cents (80¢) per household; and
WHEREAS the voters of Kitsap County, including the
City of Bremerton will vote on creation of a countywide transit
system on Tuesday, May 16, 1978; and
WHEREAS if a countywide transportation system is
created it will be funded by a sales tax not to exceed three-
tenths of one percent
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY OF BREMERTON:
That, upon creation by the voters of Kitsap County
of a countywide transportation system in the special election to
be held Tuesday, May 16, 1978, and upon funding of said
system, the household tax upon households within the City of
Bremerton created by Ordinance No. 2911 as amended by Ordinance
No. 3188, shall be repealed.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage this 2nd day of May, 1978.
