AN oRDINANCE approving and confirming the assessment and assessment roll
of Local Improvement District Ho. 71, for the improvement of Broadway from its
intersection with Eighth Street north to its intersection with Evelyn; Warren from
Ninth to its intersection with Evelyn; Evelyn from ~,~,'arren to Broadway; Ninth from
'..~arren to Broadway, by grading, sidewalking on ~oth sides with a concrete sidewalk,
guttering with a wooden curb and gutter, all in accordance with plans prep~red and
on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bremerton, ~mder the pro-
visions of Ordinance No. 467, and levying and assessing the amounts thereof against
the several lots, tracts or parcels of land and other property as shown on said
roll establishing local improvement funds, and fixing the date of the issuance of
said 'bonds as provided under General Ordinance Ho. 505.
The City Council of the City of Bremerton do ordain as follows:
Sec. 1. That the assess:nent and assessment roll of Local Improvement
District No. 71 for the improvement of ]~roadway ~rom its intersection with Eighth
Street north to its intersection with Evelyn; Warren from Ninth to its intersection
with Evelyn; Ninth from ~¢arren to Broadway; Evelyn from ~'~arren to Broadway by
grading, sidewalking on both sides with concrete sidewalks, gutter, lng with wooden
curb and gutter, in accordance with plans prepared and on file in. the office of the
City Clerk and City Engineer of the City of Bremerton ~nder Ordinance No. 467, as
the same now stands, be, and the same is, hereby in all things approved and
confirmed.
Sec. 2. That each of the lots, tracts or parcels of land and other
property shown upon said roll in said District No. ?l is hereby declared to be
specially benefited by said improvement in at least the amount against the same,
and that the assessment appearing against the same in proportion to the other
assessments appearing on said roll according to benefits, There is hereby levied
and assessed against each said lot. tract or parcel of land and other property
appearing on said roll the amount finally charged against the same.
Sec. ~. For the purpose .of these improvements there is hqreby created
and established ~ special fund to be called "Local Improve~nent ~und, District l.:o.?l."
Sec. 4. That the fifteenth day o£ September, A. D. 1914, be and is hereby
fixed as the date of the issuing o£ the bonds required to be issued on account of
the improvement, the same to be issued in serial nt~bers from one (1) to ,
inclusive, or 'sO much thereof as ::~ay be necessary for the uncollected por i~ o~
said special assessment due or owing in said district
be in the sum of One Hundred ~$100.00) Doll,s.rs except the first, which shall be for
such fraction~l part of one hundred dolla, rs as shall then remain tu~paid, all as
provided by General Ordinance No. 505 of the City of Bremerton.
Sec. 5~ This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from five ~5)
days after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
