HomeMy WebLinkAbout0503 ORDINANCE NO. b03. ,iN 0fLDIN~NCE approving and confirming the assessment and assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 62, for the improvement of Warren Avenue from its intersection with Broadway to its intersection with Ninth Street; l~inth Street from Warren Avenue to Park ~kvenue; Par~ ~t',zenue from its intersection with Sixth Street to its inter~ection with Dye's Inlet, by l~iying therein ~ trunk sewer, and doing such other and further wor]~ as may be necessary and convenient in accordance therewith, all in accordance with plans prepared and on file in the office of the City Clerk, under the provisions of Ordinance No.426 and O~'dinance No. 497 amending the seine, and levy- ing ~%nd ~ssessing the amounts ~hereof ~gainst the several lot~, tracts or ~>arcels of land and other property, ~s shown on said roll, establishing a local improvement fund and fixing the date for i~suance of bonds. Theft the assess~ent and assess~nent roll o~ Local I~rove~ent Dis- trier i'[o. 62, for the improve~:~ent of ~f~rre~ Avenue fr,o:~ its interaection ~,~.th B~:rwell to its i~ter~ection ?~ith Hinth Street; ~i~th street fro~ ',~rre~'~ Avenue to Park Avenue; Park Avenue from its inter~ection with Si>:th Str,~et to its i~r~t~,rsecti~n with Dye's Inlet, by laying therein a trunk sewer ~:~nd doing s~ch other ~,nd further work as ma~ be found necess~try or convenient, in acc,~'d~nce with plans prep~red ar,.d on file in the office of the City Clerk and City Engineer of the City of Bremerton, under 0rSinar~ce No. 426 and 0rdiuauce No. 497 ~endatory thereof, as the same now stands, be ~nd the same is hereby in all things approved and confirm, ned. Sec. 2. That each of the lots, tracts or ~arcels of land and other property ~own ul~on ~.~id roll in ~-'~aid enl~rged district is hereby declared to be ~pe~ia,].ly benefited by s~id i~,~rove;nent in at legist the a~no~u~t; charged ~gainst the sa~e and that the assess:nent appearing against ~he sa. me is in p~'oportion to the several assessments appearing upon said ~'oll according to benefits. There is hereby levied and a~tse~sed against each said lot, tr:~u~t or,parcel of land and other property appe~ring u?on said roll the amount finally charged against the same thereon. Sec. Z. For the pu~:'~ose of this improvement there is hereby cre~ted and established a special fund to be called "Local I~prove~uent Fund, District lie. 62." Sec. 4. That the fifteenth day of JuiCy, A. D. 1914, be and is he~-eby fixed ~s the d~te of issuing of t~e bonds required to be issued on account o~j ~aid. improve-- merit, the sa~:~e to be issued in serial n~bers from One (l) to both inclusive, or so :~uch thereof as ~nay be necess~ry to provide for t~[e uncollected portion of said special assessment due or owing on said distr~ct on said d~te, the same to be in s~,~s of One Hundred (~)100,00) Dollars each, except the first whO_ch shall be for such fraetion~l p~rt of One ~iundred Dollars as sh~:~ll then be remaii~ng unp~-~id, the sa;~e to be~r interest at t~e r~te of seven per cent ~7 per cent) per ann~ pay- able annually. Sec. 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from five days after its passage, a~proval ~nd public~tion according to law.
