AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement ef Pacific Ave~ue by laying
therein a sewer from a manhole at Sixth Street and Pacific Avenue to the manhole
at Mill Street a.ud Pacific Avenue, in accordance with a resolution of the City
Council of the City o f Bremerton, creating a Local Improvement District therefor,
and providing that payment for said improvement be made by sp~clal assessments
upon property in said district payable by the mode of "Payment by Bonds".
The City Council of the City of Bremerton do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That, Pacific Avenue from the manhole at Sixth Street and
Pacific Avenue to the manhole at Mil. 1 ',~treet and Pacific Avenue be improved by
laying therein a sewer and that such other work be done as may be necessary in
connection therewi~th, according to the plans and specifical'~ions therefor prepared
unde~ the direction of the City Eng,.neet and on file in the o'~fice of the City Cle~
Clerk.
SECTION 2. That all the cost and expense of said improvement, includl~
all necessary and incidental expenses, shall be borne by and assessed against, the
property included in the assessment district hereinafter created in accordance
with law. The City of Bremerton shall ~ot be liable in any manner for any per-
ti,on of the cost and expense of said improvement.
SECTION 3. That, the~e is hereby established a Local Improvement Dis~ ,~
tr!ct, to be called Local Improvement District No. 63,
SECTION 4. Bonds bea~ing i.uteresb at the rate of sev~n per cent (7~)
per annum payable on cz~ before ten (10) years fr. om- the date of lssua:~ce shall be
issued in payment of the cost and expense of th~s improvement, which bonds shall be
redeemed by the collection of spec.[al assessments to be levied and assessed upon
the property within said district, in equal annual installments with interest
at the rate of seven per cent pe~~ annum, undez~, the mode of "Payment be Bonds" as
defined by law and the Ordinances of the City of Bre~erton. ~!hese bonds shall be
delivered to the contra~ctor in redemption of wa~rants o5~ the Local Imp~oveme~t
District Fund issued on estimates of t~Be City Ehgineer or the City of Bre~ertoa
may ~t its election sell said bonds and make such redemption in cash.
SECTI0'~ 8. This Ordinance shall be in full ~orce and effect from five
(5) days after its passage, approval and public.~tion.
