61, for the improvement of Burton Ave~eue by grading guttering and sidewalking
under Ordinance No. 396 and levying and assessing the amounts thereof against
each parcel and lot of l~nd, and pars thereof shown in said roil, and providing
for the collection thereof.
The City Council of the C~ty of Bremerton do ordain as follows:
Sec. 1. That the assessment roll for ~ocal improveme,~ district no. 51 for
the improvement of Burton ~venue, by grading, guttering and ~idewalking the same
under Ordinance No. 396 be, and the same is hereby approved.
Sec. 2. That each parcel and lot of l~nd and part the~'eof named in said
roll is specially benefitted b$ the said improvement, and that there be and is
hereby assessed a~ainst emch p~reel and lot of ~and and part thereof contained in
said improvement ~istrict as snows in said rol~, the respective ~mounts in said
roll set against each such parcel and lot of 1;md and part tho eof, between ~he
terming of said improvement abutting upon, ajacent and proximate to said street
and s~id amounts are hero,by declared to be a first lien against each said parcel
and lot of land ~nd part thereof against which the same is assessm& in said roll
the amount hereby assessed and levied against the property in said local improve-
ment dictrict being the sum eleven hundred and fifty-six and 1C-lC0 dollars.
Se~. 3. Said roll shall be ~elivered to the ~ity Clerk, who shall forth-
with deliver to the City Treasurer a certified copy thereof, upon the receipt
~f which the Treasurer shall procee~~ to(collec$ t~e respective amounts in the
Snner provided by law. The City ~reasurer shall give notice an~ take such
]/~roceeding for the collection of said respegtive amounts so levied and assessed
as are pr~scribed by the ~rdinances of the City of ~reme~on, and the laws of tho
State of Washington, and if the same be net paid within the time fixed therefor
there shall be added such penalties, interest and charges fixed by the ordinances
of said ~ity, and ether proceedings had thereon, as provided by law. ~he City
Trsasurer s~all prQceed after the first publication of sa~d notice with all due
diligence with tho collection of said assessment.
This ordinance s~all be in full force and effect from five d~ys after its
passage appoval and publication
