AN ORDINANOE approving assessment roll of Local Improvement District No.?~, under
Ordinance No.521 providing for the improvement of ~ourth Street from the west margin
of Washington Avenue to the east margin of High Street
an~ woo~en curbs aha gutters on both sides of said street,and by building concrete
retaining walls or filling in where found necessary,togetAer with all crosswalks,i~le
and: catchbasins necessary to finish the work in a goo~ and workrmanlike manner; levyin
and amaessing the amount thereof against the parcels and lots of land and parts thor
between the termini of such streets and other property,as shown on said assessment ro
and providing for the collec~ion thereof,

Sec. 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. ?6,for the imp
ovement of ~ourth Street from the West margin of Washington Avenue to the east margin
of High Street, by laying concrete sidewalks and wooden curbs and gutters on both sid
of said street,and by building concrete retaining walls or, filling in where found nec
sary,together with all crosswalks,inlets and catchbasins necessary to finish the work
in a good and workmanlike manner,accprding to the plans and specifications, on file in
the office of the City Clerk,and as provided by Ordinance No.5gl, be and the same is
hereby approved and confirmed.
Sec, 2. That each parcel.piece,lot,or tract of land.named in said assessment roll
is specially benefitted by said improvement,and %here is hereby assessed against each
parcelj~r lot of land and part thereof,and all other property contained in said
improvement district,as shown on said roll,the respective amounts in said' roll set
against each p,ecs,parcel,or lot of land,o~ part thereof,and other property between
the termini of said improvement,abutting thereon,adjacent or proximate to said street
~nd avenues,and such amounts are hereby declared to be a first lien against each said
piece,parcel,and lot of land,or-part thereof,against Which the same assessed in said
roll,
Sec. ~. That for the purpose of said improvement there is hereby created and esta
lished a special fund to be called 'Improvement ~und,Distriot'No.?6.
Sec. 4. That the 20th day of November,X~16, is hereby fixed ~s the date for the
issue of the bonds to' be issued on account of said improvement,said bonds shall be
issued in serial numbers from one to one hundred and four,both inclusive,or so many
thereof as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected portion of said special
assessment.due or owing in said district on said date,same to be in sums of One Hundz
Dollars ~$100.00) each,except the first which shall be for such fractional part of
One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) as may be then remaining unpaid.~
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from five ~5) days after
its passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
