City of Bremerton and repealing Section 2 of Ordinance 480.
THE CITY COUNCIL O~~ TH~ CITY 0F BRElv~RTON DO ORDAIN AS
Sec. 1. Any person, persons, corporations or associations conducting an auto
stage or doing an auto stage business in or out of the city of Bremerton shall have
a regular starting and standing point in said city, and sSall keep said auto stage
car at said starting poin~ while in said city and engaged in business, said starting
and standing point or place shall not occupy more than fifty feet in length along any
said street, and all persons applying for a permit or license as herein ~et out shall
secure a written permit from the occupant of the building abutting on that part of
the street, in which said starting and standing place is desir~d and file sa~e with
the City Clerk.
Sec. 2. All persons eng~,ged in the auto stage business as above set out shall
secure f~om the city clerk of. the city of Bremerton a permit;~' which said permit shall
'designate the starting and standing point of said auto-stage car while in said city
of Bremerton. The city clerk shall not issue said permit, unless said applicant
file with said city clerk, said written permit of tl~e occupant of t~,e premises abut-
ting ~aid street where said standing and starting point is desired, and a written
schedule showing the hour~(-~, of e~ch day said auto stage will leave said standi~'~g ~nd
starting point.
Sec. 3. Said person or persons, association or corporation so engaged in s~id
auto-stage business m~y pla~e a schedule board on the outer edge of the sidew~lk$
same to be not more than 4 feet high, nor more than I 1-2 feet wide, s~id schedule
board ~o be placed and kept at the starting and standing place.
Sec. 4. It shall be inl~wful for ~ny one engaged in said auto stage service as
herein designated to solid, it patrons along the streets and in the public building~
of the ity of Bremerton, or in ~n~ pla~:e in said city outside of the starting and
standing place in s~id city, ~,s shown b~ the permit issued by the city clerk.
See. ~. N° person or persons, corporation or association shall have more than
one standing ~nd starting point in said city.
Sec. 6. ~t shall be the duty of the person or persons, association or corpor-
ation, securing a permit from the city of Bremerton to engage in the auto stage bus-
iness, to maintain a regul~r schedule from and to the starting and standing point
or place designated. If the person or person~, corporation or association ~ecurin~
said permit does not use said stranding and starting point for a perion of three
days, or fails to keep the schedule as filed with the City Clerk. a~ the same time
of securing the permit, the said standing a~d starting point shall be declared vacan~
by the Chief ,~f Police, and the permit so issued canceled by the City Clerk.
Sec. 7. That section 2 of Ordinance No. 480 be and the same hereby is repealed.
Sec. 8. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be p,~?~shed
by a fine of not more than $300.00 or ~J imprisonment in the city jail for not more
than ninety days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Sec. 9. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days from and
after its passage, approval and publicatiJ, n.
