THE CITY COUNCIL 0~ THE CITY 0~ BREiv~RTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person,persons or corporation owning,
managing, directing ~ otherwise conducting any hotel, lodging house or bunk house w
the limits of the City of Bremer~ n to allow any person or persons to occupy sleep-
ing accomo~ation in such building or buildings unless there is provided at least
forty-five [45) feet of floor space for each person accommodated and unless there be
at least four hundred (400) cubic feet of air space for each person acco~nodated for
sleeping and unless there is provided bathing facilities at least one shower or tub
with hot and cold water for wach fifty[50) persons and one toilet for each fifty
(50) persons.
Section 2. Any person, persons or corporation violating any of the provisions of
this Ordinance shall be fined in the s~n of not less than ~ive Dollars ($5.00) and
not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each offense and the City Health
Officer is authorized to close any such hotel, lodging house or bunk house that
does not comply with the requirements ~erein named unt&~ such time as compliance
be secured and maintained.
Section ~. That this Ordinance shall be of ~l~ll force and effect from five
days after its passage, approval and publication.
Passed by the Council and approved by the ~ayor this 25th day of ~ovember, 1918.
