AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of Pacific Avenue,commencing at the South margin of ~ourth Street; thence North to the North line of ~ifth St. and the improvements of Pifth Street,Commencing at the East margin of Pacifi~ Avenue, thence West to the City limits,by grading and by paving full width wish a one course concrete pavement,and by a construction of combined crete curbs and gut~ms on each side of said street,together with all clear- ing and grubbin$ necessary to finish the same in a good and workmanlike man- nor,and by doing such other and further work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make said improvements a complete job. All in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk, and in accordance with a resolution passed by the City 00uncil,on the 22nd day of April.1918,and by creating Local improvement District No.88,and pro- viding that the payment for such improvement shall be made by special ass- essments upon property in said District adutting upon or contguous,or approx~ imate to the said property,and payable by the mode of "payable by bonds". That Pacific Avenue commencing at the South margin of Eourth Street,thence North to the NorSh margin of Eif~h S~ree~,and ~ifth street commencing at the East margin of Pacific Avenue; thence ~est So the City limits along the full width of said Streets,be improved by grading and by paving wish a one course concrete pavement,and by combined concrete curbs and gutters on each side of said streeS,an~ by doing such other and fur- thor work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such improv- ement a complete job,all inaccordance with the plan~ an~ specifications prepared and on file in the office of the OiSy Clerk.. and to do all things necessary in the premises,in accordance wi~h the resolution passed by the City Council of the City of BremerSon,April EZnd 1918. SecSion £, ThaS all the cost and expense of said lmprovemenS incl~ding all! necessary and incidenSal expenses,shall be borne by and assessed against the~ property included in the assessment district,hereinafter creaSed,in acord- anco with law. Thence East along the center line of the Block to a point lB0 feet Esa$ of the East margin of Pacific avenue;thence South to the center line of Block Seven (?),of the plat of Bremerton; thence ~est to the point of beginning. Section ~. ThaS said°cosSs and expense of said improvements aforesaid, shall be assessed against said properSy i~elmde~ in said improvement Distric~ in proportion to area and in accordance wish She provisions of Section 2,of Chapter 168,of the Session Laws of 1915,of the State of ~ashington. Section &. Bondmbearing interest at the rate of ~ per cent per annum pay- able on or before 10_years from the daSe of issuance shall be issued in pay- ment of the costs and expense of said improvements,which bonds shall be re- deemed by the collection of special assessments to be levied and assessed upon the property within said district,payable in 8 equal annual install- ments,~i$~ interest at the rate of ? per cent per annum,under the mode of ~paymemS of bomds as defined by law,and the ordinances of the City of Bremer- t~n. These bonds shall be delivered to the contractor in redemption of warran~ ts on the Local Improvement District Pund issued on estimates of the City Engineer,or the City of Bremerton,may at its election sell said bonds and make such redemption in cash. Section~. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect Five [5) days rem and after its passage,approval and publication.
