HomeMy WebLinkAbout0582 OI~DIN~ ~O.J _~SJB AN ORDINANCE approving and confirming assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. ?9, under Ordinance No. 58E, for the improvement of Warren Street from the center line of Ninth Street to the center line of Evelyn Street, Evelyn Street from the center line of Warren Street to the center line of Broadway; Broadway from the center line Of Tenth Street to the center line of Evelyn Street, and Tenth Street from the center line of Boadway to the center line of Warren by constructing a combined storm and sanitary sewer, along with the necessary Ys, branches, catchbasins, man-holes, inlets, and lateral sewers, etc., and levying and assessing the amount thereof against the parcels of lots and land and parts thereof between the termini of such streets as shown by and on said assessment roll, and providing for the collection thor THE CITY COUNCIL 0P THE CI~I~ 0~ BR~RTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: See. 1. That ~he assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 79 for the improvement of Warren, Evelyn, Broadway and Tenth Streets by laying therein a com- bined storm and sanitary sewer according to plans and ~ecifications on file in the office of the city clerk, and as provided hy ordinance No. 56~, be and the same ~ hereby approved and ~enfirmed. Sec. ~. That each oarcel, piece, lot, or tract of land named in said assessment roll is ep%cially benefitted by said improvement, and there is hereby assessed against each parcel, or lot of land, and p~rt thereof, and &ll other property contained in said improvement district, as shown on said roll the res~ctive amounts in said roll set against each piece, parcel, or lot of land, or ?art thereof, and other property,, between the termini of said improvement abutting ~hereon, adjacent or proximate to said street, and such amounts are hereby declared to be a first lien against each said piece, parcel, and lot of land, or part thereof, against which the same is assessed in said roll. See. Z. That for the purpose of said improvement there is hereby created and established a special fund to be called "Improvement ]Jund District No. ?9 and bonds shall be issued to pay the costs thereof the same to be issued in serial number from one to , both inclusive, o~ so many thereof as may be necessary to provide for the unce~l-~cted portion of said special assessment due or owing in said district on said date, the same to be in sums of one hundred ($100.00) dollars each, except the first, which shall be for such fractional part ,of $100. as may be then remaining due and unpaid. Sec. 4. That the Z6th day of June 1918, is hereby fixed as the date fo.r the issuanc, ef the bonds to be issued on account of said improvement. Sec. 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days from end after its passage, approval and publication. Passed by the City Council and approved by me this ZEnd day of April, 1918.
