or ~oxiouS substance or drive any vehicle, cart, or other conveyance, fo~ such
purpose through the streets, highways, or public ways in the city of B~emerton,
and providing penalties for the violation thereof.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0E BRE~ERTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Sec. 1. No oerson, excepting city employees, shall collect, remove or transport
garbage, offal, or any other offensive or noxious substances ,or drive any vehicle,
cart or other conveyance, for such purpose through the streets, highways, or other
public ways within t~e city of ~emerton, without first having obtained a permit
from the health officer of BEeme~ton. Said pe=mit shall be numbered and be valid o
for one year, unless revoked by the said health officer.
Sec. £. Any persons violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than
tZ00.00 or by imprisonment in the city jail not to exceed ninety days, or by both
such fine and imprisonment.
Sec. Z. All ordinances or parts of ordimances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
Sec. ~. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days from and aftez
its passage, approval and publication as Provided by law.
