giving away or other disposition of city water, except by the city of B emerton, ant
providing penalties for the violation hereof. ~
THE CITY COUNCIL 0N THE CITY 0P BRENERTON DO 0itDAIN AS ~0L~0WS:
Sec. 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons purchasing w~Rter from the
city of ~emerton, to sell, give ~way or otherwise dispose of said water, except
upon the immediate premises and in the immediate household for which it was deliver,
or the purpose it was signed for.
Sec. S. On lots having more than one house, or tent or other building in which
there is a person or ~oersons living, wach said place shall pay the minimum rate for
water, and it shall be ~unlawful for one such person or family to secure water from
the city of B~emerton and permit another person or family to secure water from thei~
hydrant or hydrants without paying ~o the city of Bremerton, the minim~ rate
.
Sec. ~. ~y person violating ~he provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed ~
of a misdemeanor, and shall be punished by a fine of not more than three hundred
dollars or by confinement in ~he city jail for not more than ninety days or Oy bosh
such fine and imprisonment. ~d the City may cause the water furnished such person
~o be turned off, and refuse to furnish such person water ~il such time as he sha~
for ~he w~ter permitted to be taken according to t~e minimum rate.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall be in ~ll force and effect five days from and afte~
i~s passage, approval a~d publication as provided by law.
Passed by the city council of ~he city of Bremerton and approves ~y me this llth
day of March, 1918.
