THE CITY COUNCIL 0~ THE CITY O~~ BRE~,~ERTON DO 0RDAINAS ~OLLOWS:
Sec. 1. Every barber~ manicurist, beauty specialist, employees of a laundry or
persons engaged in the handling.of food. or employed in a place where food or drink
is prepared, mixed, baked, exposed, bottled, packed, handled, stored, manufactured.
offered for sale or sold shall be required to obtain from the county, city or state
health officer, or his deputy, a certificate that he is free from any contagious,
or infections desease. Such certifiaate shall be obtained every six months, and
oftener if ordered by the health officer.
Sec. 2. Any person violating this ordimance shall, upon conviction t~ereof,
be punished by a fine in any sum not to exceed $100, or by imprisonment not to
exceed thirty days in the city jail, or by both s~ch fine and imprisonment.
Sec. ~. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days from and
after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law,
