~ Ordinance re~lati~g ~he carrying capacity of' "Jitney Busses" and motor ~ehiotes
for hire, and providing penalties for t~:e vielatlon thereof.
~E CI~ COUNCIL O~ THE CI~ O~ B~TON DO 0~AIN AS FOLLOWS:
See. 1. I~ shall be ~la~ul for the driver of any "Jitney Buss" or other motor
vehicle operating for hire, while moving along any street in the cl~y of Bremer$on,
~o permi~ any person ~o occupy wi~h the driver the driver's sea~ in excess of its
fixed sea~in~ capaciSy, o~ to be upon the running board of such motor vehicle, or
in an$ place in front of the f'ront sea~:, or upon ~he fender, dash, br upon the
of the seat backs, or to carry at any one time more passengers than the seating
eapaciSy for whic~ said vehicle was made.
See. ~. ~y person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be
~eemed guilty efa m~sdemeanor and shall be ~p~ished bY a fine not to exceed $~00.00
or by imprisonmen$ in ~he oi~y jail not to exceed ninety days, or by both s~ch fine
and imprisonmen$.
'Sec. ~. This ordinance shall be in full force and effec~ five days from aand
after i~s passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
