~ll width wi~h a one-course concrete pavemsn~, ~ogethsr wi~h any and all o~her work
to finish ~he job in a'good and wor~anlike ma~er, and ~o do such other and f~ther
work in ~ec~ion therewith as is necessary to make such improvement a complete Job,
all in accordance wi~h plans ~d specifications prepared by ~he Oi~y ~ngineer and on
in his office and in the office of the Oi~y Clerk of the City of Bremerton and in
accordance with a resolution passed by the City Council on the Send da~of September,
i. D. 1919, and orea~ing Local Improvemen~ District No. 9~d~roviding~-f~ pa~ent
for said improvement upon ~e proper~y in said distrio~ abutting upon, oonti~ous ~d
approximate ~o the said improvement, and payable by mode of "Payment by Bonds." THE CITY COUNCIL 0~ THE CITY O~ B~RTON DO ORDAIN AS ~OLLOW8:
Section 1. That ~ourth S~reet from the ~Wes~ margin ef Pacific Avenue, ~d the im-
provement of an alley r~ning east and west in Block Seven of the Original Town of Bre~
~r~on, by clearing, grubbing, grading, constructing and altering or lowering main ~d
latteral sewers, providing or drainage thereof, and constructing c~bs and ~tters,
and by paving full width, with a eno-course concrete Ravement, together ~th any and
all other w~rk to finish the Job in a good ~d word. like maimer and to do such other
and f~her work in oonnec$io n therewith as is necessary to make such improvement a
complete job, all in accordance with plans ~d specifications ~re~ared by the City
Engimeer and on file in his ofice and in ~he offio e of the Ci~y Clerk of the City
of Br~mer~on.
Section ~. That all cost and expense of said improvement, including all necessary
and incidental ~xpenses shall be borne by and as~esse~ against the property included
in ~he assessment distric~ hereinafter cr~a~ed, in accord~ance with law. The City of
~remer~on ~ll not be liable in any manner for amy por~ien of the cost and expense of
said improvement, exce~ such as may be assessed agains~ ~reperty in dis~rlct created
and owned by said city.
Section ~. That there is hereby established ~d created a Local Improvement Distric
No. 94," ~he boundries of which distric~ are hereby specified ~d described as follows,
~o-wi~: The south one-half of Block Six~6~ in~ the Original Town of Bremerton,
Section 4. That said cost and expense of said improvement shall be assessed against
~aid property ~ncluded in said improvement dis~rict in proportion to area and in aceor-~
dance with the provisions of Section ~, Chapter 168 of the Session Laws of ~he State
of Washington for 191~.
Section 5. Bond~ bearing inherent at the ~ate of ? per cen~ per ann~, payable on
er before l0 years from date of issuance, shall be issued in pa~ent of the cost and
expense of said improvement, which bonds shall be redeemed bythe collection of special
assessments to be levied ~d assessed upon ~he property withi~ said district, payable
in l0 e~ual installments, with interest at the ra~e of 7 per cen~ per ann~, ~der the
mode of pa~en~ by bonds as d~fined by l~w and the ordinances of the City of Bremerton.
These bonds shall be delivered to the contractor in ~he redemption of warrants oh the
local improvement district f~d issued on the estimate of ~he City Engineer, or the
of Bremerton may at it~ election sell the said bends and make such redemption in cash.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from five {5} days after
its passage, approval and publication.
