THE CITY 00UNCIL 0E THE CITY 0F BREi~RTON DO 0RDAiN ~B ~0LLOWS: Sec. 1. No building or par~ off building shall bs moved over any s~ree~ or alley off the city off Bremerton without ffirst procuring a permi~ ~herefor, regularly issued by the City Clerk. The application ~or such permit shall be in writing and shall epee- iffy the size off building to be moved, ~he name off ~he owner, location off the building, ~o wha~ location it is to be moved, over wha~ s~ree~s such building is ~o be moved, ao~ual value off building and ~he name off the contractor or person undertaking ~o move such building, a~d no more ~han one building shall be moved on ~he same permit. Sec. 2. No person or persons shall undertake ~o move a~,building 0n ~he s~reets off ~hs Ci~y off Bre~nerton wi~hou~ ffi. rs~ ~aking ou~ a House-Mover s License issued by Oi~y Clerk on application thereffor, flee ~or which license shall be ~50 per ann~, shall not be ~ransfferable and shall entitle uhe holder to engage in the General House-moving busine~ in the Ci~y off Bremerton on complying with ~he o~her requirements of this ordinance. ~ec. 5. I~ shall be unlawfful flor any person ~o ~der~ake to move a building on streets or alleys off the City off Bramerton ~le~s and un~it he shall have first filled an indemni~y bond wi~h the Gi~y Clerk to be approved by such Oi~y Clerk, in ~he s~ of Five Thousand [~5000) ~otlars indemniffying ~he City agains~ any and all damages and Juries ~o persons or proper~y as a resui~ off carelessness or negligence of such person moving such building, his agen~ or employe, or rising as a consequence o~ such moving for which ~he oi~y' mi~h~ be held responsible. ~roviding, That any eon~rac~ or amy per- son having procured a House-Mover's License as herein provided, m~y file a general bodd ~o cover any and ~t jobs flor house-moving over which he shall have supervision, indem- nlffying ~he oi~y as above se~ fforth, which bond shall be good flor a period off the li- cense and not to exceed one year, and when such e~n~rae~or or person havi~zg such bond on ffile wi~h ~he Ci~y 01erk shall be employed ~o move any building for which a permi~ is issued, no new bond shall be required, and Zrovided Further ~ha~ no permi~ shall he:~$saued:~,by~ ~he-:'~O~y ~te~k mt~ss the application thereffor shall name a ~ n~rac~or or person havin~ a bond o~ file as herein provided or until such bond is Sec. 4. ~he flee for a moving permi~ on each and every building off value off Two Thousand Dollars or less s~ali be Eive [4~5) Dollars and ~d additional Dollar for each Thousand ~ollars or ff~ao~ion thereoff in excess thereoff. 5cc. 5. All buildings ~o be moved in ~he business p~ion of ~he oi~y shall be moved between Midnight and Five O'clock in 8he morning. All buildings so m~ved in a carefful and prudent manner, and all blocks, ~ackle, cable, rollers and all other o~ra- phanalia used for movin~ shall be ~ u~:ed and ~uarded as no~ to injure persons or proper~y, and all s~ree~s and other public properS./ shall be lef~ in as good co~tditions as prior ~o such moving, leavin~ such streets clear off all rubbish or ma~erial used flor the Job. See. 6. Any person viola~in~ any off ~he provisions off this ordinance shall be ffined in a sum off ,o~ less ~han Ten D~llars and no~ more ~han Three Hundred Dollars, or shall be imprisoned in ~he ci~y jall for no~ less ~han one day n~r more ~han ninety days or by both such Zinc ~.nd imprisonment, a_'~d a vio!ati:n off this ordinance by ~y licensed contractor o~person in ~he house-moving business shall be s~fficien~ ~round for ~he re- vocation off such license a~ ~he discretion off ~he Ci~y Council. 5cc. 7. All ordinances and par~s off ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby regaled. Sec. 8.
